Nag's Doubts on Telangana

Andhra-Telangana separation issue is taking its toll on film industry. The first one to migrate from Madras basing completely on Telugu cine industry was actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The industry shifted from Chennai to Hyderabad slowly after Nageswara Rao started Annapurna Studios here. His son and actor Nagarjuna and other artistes are worried about the fate of their crores worth of invesments put in the studios and theaters. If separate Telangana State is formed, they fear that the Hyderabad studios and theater may become useless. Moreover, Annapurna Studios was built on government land. The issue was also discussed during Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy's tenure as CM. THough YSR gave permission to Annapurna Studios for development, now it is feared that with formation of separate State, the land issue may crop up again. Tollywood cine sources say that Nagarjuna is a much worried man now.
