Tamil Nadu CM M. Karunanidhi is passion towards writing of songs,story,screenplay is well-known. Besides writing the dialogues for the film ’Pen Singham’ starring Uday Kiran and Meera Jasmine which is based on his novel Suruli Malai. The CM also penned a song in an astonishing 10 minutes! which would be a record. He passed it on to music director Deva for composing the lyrics.
This film is directed by Bali Srirangam. Talking to this newspaper, producer Arumuganeri Murugesan said "Kalaignar is particular that the film should shape up well and is taking a keen interest in every stage of its production. Despite his busy schedules, he keeps tabs on its progress and suggests valuable changes whenever needed".
